The 1786-RPFS repeater module is a short-distance fiber repeater module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is used in the industrial sector to extend the length of a network. It is also used to create a star, ring, or point to point topology. It also helps with media conversion from copper to fiber media and vice versa. This short-distance module is powered with a voltage source of 24 Volts DC. It connects 2 ControlNet products with a fiber link. The 1786-RPFS repeater module can work properly at up to a distance of 300 meters between 2 ControlNet modules. This repeater module also has ground isolation between nodes and is less affected by noise than other repeater modules.
